Brilliant for pot-roasts as well as soups, stews and gratins.  I love that this is shallow, rather than deep like a traditional casserole, thus the larger surface area shows off the food much better. It looks stunning brought straight to the table, especially if the lovely domed lid is still in place!

These beautiful black dishes are made in Colombia from just clay and are therefore completely organic. No artificial chemicals of any description are used in their production. It requires amazing skills to mould these pieces by hand, especially the larger dishes and the ones with handles.

Please note that no two items are the same and variations in size and appearance will occur as each piece is handcrafted.

They can be used both in the oven and on the hob, over any direct source of heat such as gas, electric, Aga or ceramic (but not induction), under the grill or in a microwave and even an open fire. They retain their heat very well, therefore keep food hot for a long time. The attractive black satin finish makes them ideal for serving from cooker to table.

Completely dishwasher-proof and very easy to clean by hand, with their natural non-stick quality. They are surprisingly lightweight.

All in all they are just brilliant and enhance the look of most food.
